Billboards Top 100 Artist of 2010! (5-1)

5.) Ke$ha: Thrown into the lime light with the help of Flo Rida January of 2009, has had a few top singles in the US starting with “Tik-Tok.” Currently on the top 100 is “We R Who We R” from the album Cannibal that was released last month. Now having her own tour, hopefully she will be in your area soon!

4.) Lady Antebellum: The country music group formed in Nashville became popular with their song “Need You Now” back in mid-2009. It was on the charts for 47 weeks and peaked at number two!

3.) Eminem: Been in the Spot light for over 10 years and this year seemed to be filled with intense song hitting close to home for some people. His new album Recovery released in June 2010, sold over 740,000 copies in the US on the first day. On iTunes, Recovery was the best selling album of 2010.

2.) Taylor Swift:’s Third album Speak Now was released October 25, 2010. It had the most online album sales at Amazon.com for 2010. It reached over 1.047 million sales in the first week. All of the songs on the album were charted on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Mine” having the highest peak of all of number Three.

1.) Lady Gaga!: What can I say about Lady Gaga that the world doesn’t know? This woman has had numerous songs on the Billboard Top 100 for over two years straight! She is releasing her new album Born this way in February of 2011. It is obvious her “little monsters” are excited. I think most of the world is excited!

Lady Gaga’s real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. As Stef and her music producer, Rob Fusari, tried to create a stage name for her the thought of using something from the song “Radio Ga Ga.” He was texting Stef “Raid ga ga” and it auto corrected it to “Lady Gaga” and thus, Lady Gaga was born.

Katy Brand?

Katy Perry has recently talked about changing her last name to her husband's last name, Brand, on the Ellen show. I believe it'll be weird hearing Katy Brand on the radio or reading it on an album cover. But who is to say she cannot have her husband’s last name? I'm sure the people of the world can deal with the name change for her seeing as most females take the name of their husbands.

On another note, Katy's song "Firework" song rises up the charts. The song made her the first woman in 11 years to have three songs from ONE album reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100!

Britney Spears announced on her birthday (December 2nd) that she will be releasing her seventh alubum in March of 2011 [my birthday month! (: ]. Haha. She stated "My fans mean the world to me & waking up to all of your wishes really made me smile, so here's something that I hope will make you smile... I'm almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!"

According to this week’s Billboard Top 100, Pinks Raise Your Glass is numero Uno! Moved up from number 2 but while I was driving the other day, or maybe today, I don't really remember, haha, she was number 6 on Kiss108. According to the website, she's number 2 in digital sales and lowers on other polls. I don't know how she's number 1 on here, but WHO CARES? She's effing P!nk! She can do whatever she wants!

Okay, this blog was originally created for a class at my school. Now that that section  is no longer in process, I can let all of you see this! Omg for real. I know. So it's going to take me a little while to get everything back up to beat. I was going to do a post of everything that I missed but that's too much. I will update ASAP with new info that you could have probably found else where but managed to find your way here and waste your time. Haha. I plan on have a 70, 80, and 90's week soon. One of each. It'll be bitching. Mhmm!
